Stat holiday pay calculator

Each province calculates holiday pay its own way. Pick where you work, enter your recent wages, and see what you are owed for the day, and for working it.

Public holiday pay is your regular wages earned in the 4 work weeks before the work week of the holiday, plus vacation pay payable for those weeks, divided by 20. Regular wages leave out overtime, premium pay and termination pay.

Holiday pay
$160.00
($3,200.00 + $0.00) ÷ 20

If you work the holiday you get public holiday pay plus 1.5 times your regular rate for the hours worked, or, if you agree in writing, your regular wages plus a substitute day off with holiday pay.
