Stat holidays 2027 in Canada

There is no single national list: each province and territory sets its own. In 2027, federally regulated employees get 10 general holidays, and the provinces and territories range from 6 (Nova Scotia and Newfoundland and Labrador) to 11 (British Columbia, Yukon, the Northwest Territories and Nunavut). Ontario has 9.

New Year's Day, Good Friday, Canada Day, Labour Day and Christmas Day are statutory in every province and territory and for federally regulated workplaces. In Quebec, your employer chooses Good Friday or Easter Monday; only one of the two is a holiday. Every other holiday depends on where you work.
